About Us
How It All Started
- Bruce Cox started Diesel and Auto Machine Shop back in 1986. His humble beginnings started with a couple machinists and his wife Madaline, and mother Madene, as his secretaries. He and Madaline built the entire business over the last 35 years, from the ground up, and over the years trained and employed many machinists, all while raising four children. He retired in Summer of 2021.
New Beginnings
- Adam Eakle started an internship at Diesel and Auto through the High School ROC program in 1999, and was hired on full time after graduation. After starting at the bottom, he worked his way up from the steamer, to the rods, to blocks , then onto the head department, up to shop foreman and purchased the business in Summer of 2021, when his father in law, Bruce Cox retired and changed the name to Diesel and Industrial Machine Shop.
